The UN spent an entire year, assembled a 14-member "High-Level Expert Group," and did what exactly?
They told the world that "GDP is not enough."
That took one year? That took 14 people?

Now it's 2026. The UN spent a full year — and reinvented the wheel.
Then they held a grand global launch. The Secretary-General himself stood on stage and called it a "historic milestone."
A dashboard with 31 indicators.
About half are existing SDG indicators — already there. Already done. Already agreed upon years ago.
Four dimensions: current well-being, equity and inclusion, sustainability and resilience, foundational principles.
Translation: they repackaged existing work, slapped a "UN" label on it, and called it their own.
The expert group themselves admitted: implementation challenges — data gaps, limited statistical capacity, countries unable to track these indicators.
They built something most countries can't use. Then declared victory.
After the report was done, it wasn't ready to use. It had to:
"The next step belongs to Member States. The intergovernmental process starts now."

Translation: "We're done. Now you continue fighting. We're not responsible."
Even Nature couldn't hold back: "Going beyond GDP should not leave the SDGs behind."
The experts couldn't even agree on a headline indicator — because 31 indicators are too complex to compete with GDP's "single number."
No headline indicator. No enforcement. No implementation plan.
But they held a press conference. So that counts, right?

That sentence is the Beyond GDP report in a nutshell.
Of the 66 organizations the US withdrew from, 31 were UN bodies. The White House statement said: "US taxpayers have spent billions on these organizations with minimal return."

Después de que el informe estuviera listo, no estaba listo para usar. Tenía que:
